Evan and the Tree

Today, Evan, Kuper, and I were sitting around the kitchen table with Lynda. Kuper was painting trees on some paper. Evan decided he wanted to draw a tree. He drew his tree, and I asked if I could use his pen to draw a tree as well.

After I drew my tree, Evan told me it looked like a light bulb. I drew a light bulb next to it, and he said it still looked like one. I proceeded to turn the light bulb into light bulb head man. After a little more ridicule from Evan, I drew him standing next to the tree with "So!" in a text cloud and showed it to him. I then told him the very short story of Evan and the Tree.

Not wanting to be outdone, Evan drew me next to his tree with me saying "So!". Then, he wrote a "Once upon a time" story to go along with it. While he did that, I was painting my little picture.

Once I saw his story, I felt I needed to make my drawing into a short story as well. So...

Brand New

So, a couple of weeks ago I went and got my left arm branded. I had a t-square burned into my flesh. The worst part was peeling off the scab after one week. I was able to get it off in 2 pieces. The branding hurt a little more this time around, but the healing is the hard part.

Here are some images for you to cringe over, if you are a wussy.
