Well, I went to my friend Matt's house to sit in on him, Meef, and Ian laying down some tracks on Protools. Meef had asked me to come over and give them some input and possibly do some drum tracks. They got a nice little setup going.
Meef asked me if I wanted to be a part of Fronad, and I said sure, sounds cool. I couldn't really describe the sound, so you'll just have to follow the link to find out. Hopefully I will be able to make it on Saturdays, but who knows. It is pretty laid back and fun, no pressure. Now I just need to brush up on my drumming, even though it is going through a midi keyboard. I need to learn to drum on keyboard.

Since our office recently relocated, decided to do something fun with my old business cards once I got the new ones. I did this on the fly, and took a whole ten minutes - woo!
Another idea I have been toying with is my minimalistic slice of pie house. It is pretty much for a single person, or maybe a couple. Well, if as long as they don't have a lot of junk to store, and don't mind sleeping on a fold out couch. In fact, thinking about it know I will probably need to convert one of the bookshelves into a wardrobe, oops. All I have to share for now is a view from the Sketchup model I have done.
In this image, it looks like a partial facade or something, but that is just the shot angle. Remember it is wedge shaped. I didn't shoot the other side because I haven't finished putting in the mullions.

Lynda decided to throw a surprise dinner for me to celebrate my birthday (April 12th). I figured it out about ten minutes before we got there, but let me start at the beginning
Lynda worked Saturday morning, so I was with the kids all day, until around 3:00 PM. When she got home, I got ready and went to pick up my brother Robbie and stop by the store. At the store i ran into Frank and his wife Amanda. We had a quick little chat, and then I was off to the checkout. I got back to the house at around 6:20 PM. Lynda and I left soon after to head to Chili's for dinner, which was supposedly just me and her.
On the way there she called the restaurant to see if the table she reserved was still there. We were only running 40 minutes late, and I was not informed that she had reserved a table which I thought was strange. A moment later she received a call, which was supposedly someone from work. That is the moment she blew it. Anytime someone starts talking weird or in some sort of code as to not let me know what they are talking about usually gives it away.
Once we walked in, I looked over and saw a large table full of people I recognized. I had been had. Lynda had orchestrated a little dinner party to celebrate my birthday. At that point, I knew why she had made a table reservation, and why I happened to see Frank and Amanda at the store - damn spies.
Lynda got me the Chronicles of Narnia. Frank and Amanda got me the Dead Milkmen's Death Rides a Pale Cow and Painkiller - Black PC game. I thought it was funny I got that Dead Milkmen cd, since I had actually thought about getting it a couple of weeks ago. Now I have a game to work my pc out on, and probably get addicted to playing (I actually just got through playing the first level).
I really appreciate Lynda doing the little shindig. No one has really ever had a little party like that for me since I was about 12 or so. I love you Lynda.

Kuper and Evan were running up and down the hallway. Evan, always wanting to be ahead, tried to go around Kuper and accidentally bumped into him, sending him head first into the edge of the door. At the time, I was vacuuming the living room. I noticed they had stopped coming into the living room about half a minute after the incident. I looked down the hall, and Kuper was laying face down in the doorway. He was crying, and as soon as I turned him over blood started pouring out of his forehead.
I called Lynda and told her to get home cause we had to take Kuper to the ER, again. About eight months ago, he had a run in with the entertainment center and his head. Luckily they were able to just dermabond the cut closed. I wasn't so sure this one would be as lucky. Once I got it to stop bleeding I looked at it. His forehead was split wide open. It was open enough that if I could bend a quarter in half, I could have easily put it in his wound.
After the initial shock, Kuper was back to normal. He never passed out, or vomited or anything. From that I guessed he didn't have any sort of concussion or anything.
I got the stuff together and both kids dressed. By the time I opened the garage door, Lynda was pulling up. Luckily, the ER at the hospital we went to was not busy at all. The last time we went to a different hospital, which wasn't busy, but took about 2-3 hours before the doctor actually got to us.
The nurses took his weight and temperature, took a brief look at the wound, and then put me and Kuper in an exam room - in the back. They assumed the doctor was going to have to put in stitches as did I, and I imagine no one wants to hear a baby scream.
The doctor came in, looked at it, and decided to dermabond it closed. The only problem I had with that is it was a deep wound, and the doctor said if he bumps it again during healing it will reopen. Kuper is a little clumsy it seems, and I really don't want to take him back if I don't have to, but I don't want to hear him scream through stitches
The dermabond process was probably a little easier on him and the doctor and nurse. It still took all three of us to hold him still just so it could be applied. After that, all was well and Kuper was himself again, plus a giant band aid on his forehead.

I could lie and say "I've been so busy doing blah blah and blah", but I won't. I have been lazy and neglected this wonderful blog 'o mine.
Recently, my office has moved into our new space. I'll try to find some images at work to show. I imagine the marketing department has something I can use. My Project Manager told me that this is the sweetest office he has worked in - compared to the other firms he has worked for, like HKS. It is for me as well, I just keep "moving on up..".
These past few weeks I have been taking the two boys out. Evan likes to ride his bike, and Kuper gets a wagon ride. Sometimes they both get wagon rides, usually when Evan doesn't feel like riding his bike.
Lynda's job switched over, so now she works around the corner from me, but different hours. It would have been nice to carpool, but I'm not upset cause driving time is usually the only time I get to "listen" to my music. At work, its more of a background noise. I don't think anyone wants to hear Slayer screaming "god hates us all!" from my desk, or Honchie singing "a mother fucking funky monkey midget".
Oh, Honchie. I think they are playing next month at the Wreck Room.
