If you haven't noticed, I got a little side image and the hit counter added to the left hand side of the site. It took a little figuring, but I did both. I was actually trying to put them int the index template, bu they needed to go into the main template. I know you are as excited as me. I'll try to change the image once in a while, at least until I get bored with it.
Happy Halloween!

Went to the job site for a visit today (for a health center being built). They are supposed to be finished by the end of the year, but they have until the end of January if they need it. It is looking good. I actually wore my hard hat this time. I decided to snag one from the plotter room to keep as my own.
I feel like my office, or certain individuals, don't want me to do design work or would rather have me do other things. I had a design project for a week, then I had a vacation. Someone else did the rendering for it and changed a lot of it up. I got little to no feedback/help during my little stint of design. The project went to review with the user, pitted against other firms. We got short listed for it recently, so now the design is being refined some, and some interior design is also being implemented. Not that I have anything to do with that, since I am apparently not doing the design anymore.
I think the short time I got on it was supposed to "satisfy" me or something. I made that the focus of my review last spring - to get some design projects. There are other things bugging me right now about my current situation. Erg....

Apparently I am using this thing more for now, but don't hold your breath. I have a terrible track record so far. I am trying to figure out how to add a hit counter to this thing. My problem is trying to figure out where to/ how to do it since the program I use generates the pages from a template. When I set the site up, I customized the appearance and layout. It is a lot of CSS, as well as programming for the Thingamablog software. I need to do a little research.
I am also thinking about putting a picture above the calendar, which will probably be real easy compared to the counter.
Practice was called off with Quo this week cause of Halloween, and we don't have an impending show. I was looking forward to practicing cause the show the other night got me enthused, even thought I did flub some. I want to get better at the songs NOW. I'll work on them at home.

The show went well last night, although I did flub it in a few spots. Sorry about that. I really wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be, which is good. I did find myself thinking about different things while I was playing, which is usually where I flubbed. I am sitting there playing a show and I just start wondering off into la la land for no reason. Anyway, here is the set list from last night, if not for you amusement it is at least for my own record:
Pecking Order
The Bucket (Kings of Leon cover)
Swim for the Moon
Misunderstanding
Breakin
Me Down
Eggshell Girl
Antilullaby
Street Spirit (Radiohead
cover)
Sippin Time
Bye Bye Mama Lost Ground
Five to One (The
Doors cover - added on stage)
I hope all who came out enjoyed the show, although I didn't see any familiar faces. We have scheduled a show at The Moon on December 29. Not sure at what time though, so you'll have to check back.

Well, I tried updating this thing from work, but apparently they have it set up where I can't do any ftp functions, so there goes that plan. Just got back from Big Spring, Texas. Now my neck and face is all wind/sun burnt. I guess that's what happens when you spend 5 hours on a hospital roof.
I need to buy some cheap stuff for a costume for Saturday night.

Quo will be playing at the Aardvark this coming Saturday, October 27th at 10 PM. It will be my first show performing with them. I'll be in the back making thud type sounds with the occasional crash or ding.
I think I ma going to try and update this thing from work. The only issue is the software I use creates a database on my computer, so I will have to transport that back and forth on a USB drive. That shouldn't be a big deal, but who knows. It's not like I update this thing at home.
